Karakol Gorge
Eye-catching panoramas, half-frozen rivers, snowy trees and incredible skiing and snowboarding lines! Riders delivery through prepared snowmobile tracks to the average riding areas at 2600-3100m. The riding area can be easily expanded with skitouring!
We offer incredibly huge areas for small/average groups. The most riding lines goes through the forests which makes your riding experience a way more epic. You can check our map for this area below, or even check the regular run gps track.
Red zones are difficult or descent to the Karakol gorge (no snowmobile pickup – good for final descent but quite dangerous slopes). Navy zones runs to Chelpek gorge.

Jyrgalan Valley
Has tons of powder compared to Karakol gorge during the whole winter season. Just 60km, transfer required, public transport is available from Karakol and back. Overall most preferred place for skiing/snowboarding in back country compared to Karakol. Jyrgalan maps and webcam below.

The price includes transfer from starting point in the village to the main pick up point (about 10Km).
This tour is pretty much expandable with guided or self-guided touring from the highest drop-off point. Guided touring requires avalanche gear and ski touring hardware/splitboard or snowshoes. You can rent snowshoes at rental place in Karakol city.
We can also manage your group transportation from Karakol city to the tour starting point. This service should be discussed separately.
What you should know
You will have to manage your transportation from Karakol to the starting point by your own unless we have a special agreement on this point. Basically a 4×4 truck costs about 1400 soms both ways.
You should understand that snowmobile seat can carry a driver and a single passenger. Second rider will have to lift holding a rope. This is quite easy for skiers and a bit tricky for snowboarders which requires a good strength and some experience.
Riding backcountry means high risks in getting trauma. Some slopes are avalanche-dangerous. Riding such areas requires an avalanche beacon, shovel and a probe, plus you should never ride alone and have an experienced guide within your group.
